Marc Irwin Zussman

Marc Irwin Zussman

Beverly Hills, California

Marc Zussman has been practicing law for 40 years. He has represented countless individual investors in a wide variety of financial-industry-related cases, arbitration hearings, and trials, and has been called to testify as an expert witness in cases involving legal malpractice regarding misrepresentation of plaintiffs in securities matters.

He got his start in 1974 as a Deputy Public Defender for the County of Los Angeles and in 1981 as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Los Angeles. This early work - sizing up a case, assessing whether a case could be successfully prosecuted or defended, and deciding how to win at litigation - was especially fertile ground for his future career in securities arbitration and litigation. It was there that he developed the forensic skill, savvy, and methodical tenacity which the best financial-industry lawyers use to ferret out and prove broker misconduct. From these posts, he entered the world of private practice in general civil litigation, and soon began specializing in securities fraud and arbitration.

Mr. Zussman's litigation experience is extensive, and he has an enviable record of success - averaging over 90% - in the recovery of funds for clients whose financial health and soundness have been injured by the wrongdoing of individual or corporate investment professionals.

He is highly respected and accomplished not only before FINRA arbitration panels - the principal forum for funds recovery in cases involving broker wrongdoing - but also as a courtroom litigator, both before juries and in court trials.
